This one of a kind amulet features a dark and metallic Tiger Iron stone accented with a Hessonite Garnet and a faceted Citrine gemstone. These gems are set by hand using cold forging techniques in USA made copper that has been antiqued with 14k gold fill accents. I make all my pendants from scratch, each one takes many hours to create and each is a labor of love.

This pendant measures 4.7  inches tall (9.2cm) and 1.2 inches at its widest point (3cm). It comes on 26 inch adjustable dark grey cotton cord that is made using recycled material from the fashion industry.

Tiger Iron is a really fun combination of multiple gemstones that have formed together in layers. The main minerals that form to create Tiger Iron are Hematite, Red Jasper and Tiger’s Eye. These natural layers make a unique melted lava layered look of the metallic Hematite and the red and gold from the other two minerals. Tiger Iron is primarily found in Western Australia though a small amount has been found in South Africa. The minerals in this combination are known as gemstones of strength and are considered a strong stone for grounding. It is also known as a stone of creativity and making a stable energy for the wearer.

The name Hessonite Garnet refers to the shades of the gemstone that are more on the orange color spectrum than the traditional deep red. Geologically it is the same gemstone and forms the same way. Hessonite Garnet is often referred to as the cinnamon stone for its warm rich colors. This gem is said to bring luck, prosperity and abundance. It is associated to the root chakra and is known to inspire wisdom.

Citrine is a long prized gemstone, it was common to see in many ancient cultures for ornamentation. This yellow gem was often seen in hilts on blades in historic Scottish weaponry and in Victorian era jewelry. Citrine is a crystal known for positivity and optimism, often associated with manifesting opportunities particularly around finances. It inspires confidence, self expression and creativity.
